Professor Chrysovalantou (Valanta) Milliou is Professor of Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business, specializing in Industrial Organization and the Economics of Competition Policy. She serves as a Full Member of the Board of the Hellenic Competition Commission and is a Research Fellow at CESifo (Munich, Germany). She has held academic positions at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and has been a Visiting Fulbright Scholar at Columbia University and a Visiting Researcher at the Toulouse School of Economics.

She received her PhD in Economics from the European University Institute (Florence, Italy). Her research has been published extensively in leading international journals in industrial organization and competition economics, and she regularly contributes to international conferences, academic seminars and policy training programmes.
